On January 11, the Wild Fish Conservancy has filed a petition to have the Alaskan chinook salmon listed underneath the Endangered Species Act. Per their launch, “We’re taking this emergency motion in response to the extreme decline and poor situation of untamed Chinook populations all through the state of Alaska.”
